Azeb Mesfin leaves Palace

De Birhan (24 October 2012) – After repeated instructions and warnings,  the widow of the former Ethiopian Prime Minister, Azeb Mesfin has left the Ethiopian National Palace last week, local sources and press reported today.
It has been reported that the widow had refused to vacate the Palace forcing the new Prime Minister Hailemariam to commute to his Office everyday from his home in Bole Road. Azeb moved into a residence that used to house the ruling EPRDF’s officials and ministers in the past.
Mrs Azeb Mesfin had reportedly been ignoring continued instructions to move to a new residence that would also be accorded full security detail.
“The government has given Mrs Azeb and her children the option of three residential villas in Addis Ababa but she is said to have refused to even visit any out of her own security concerns.” the Kenyan Daily Nation reported last week.

De Birhan has confirmed that the new PM and his family have not  yet moved into the Palace.
