Dear Mrs. Rice
I am writing this letter to express my total disgust by your speech during the memorial service for the coldblooded killer, Mr. Melese Zenawi of Ethiopia.
As US Ambassador to the UN, you are fully aware of the atrocities committed by this man;
- You know about the 193 young men, women and children that he had executed in a single day in Addis Ababa
- You know about the over 400 Anuak he had murdered in a single week in Gambela to make room for the Saudi investor’s plantation project
- You know about the men, women and children massacred in the Ogden
- You know about the tens of thousands languishing in his prisons,
and yet, you praise him and describe his death as “a profoundly powerful loss!”
Your Excellency Ambassador Rice, shame on you, and shame on America for allying with a brutal dictator, a coldblooded murderer.
Since you are fully aware of Mr. Zenawi’s legacy, and know it to be smeared with the blood of innocent Ethiopians, all I can say to you is that I wish and pray that some way, somehow, God will put you in a position to experience anguish as profound as that inflicted by your friend, you hero, Mr. Zenawi against my people. This, I wish upon you because you have chosen to look the other way when the blood of the innocent is being spilled by one of the most brutal dictators of this century.
Sincerely,
Dagnachew Teshome
